``After moving to Peoria from Detroit/Ann Arbor a year ago we had all but given up on finding decent sushi in this town. We were wrong!
``We eat here on average every two weeks or so. The sashimi is always fresh (I've had some of the best hamachi and maguro ever here in both appearance - it ``looks fresh'' - and taste). There are also some interesting rolls on the menu. Try the Caterpillar Roll; it is incredibly good! We also love the seaweed salad to start the meal.
``I can't comment on the 2005 reviewers' experience but the staff here all seems very concerned with cleanliness and the taste of the food. The sushi chef's English is a little hard to understand for me but a little patience (on both sides I'm sure) gets the job done. It's a bit out of the way in the back corner of the plaza (which I actually consider a benefit), and the decor is slightly dated (but clean), but the food is world class, as good as any I have had in Detroit, New York, Toronto, Chicago or Maui.
``Peoria has a lot of mediocre restaurants but this is not one of them, and for sushi it is by far the best option in town.''

``This place was such a dump that I walked out without trying the food. It is basically a Chineese restaurant with a small sushi bar. The place reeked of fried foods and the fish just didn't look fresh. I asked the `sushi chef' if they had a few of my favorites and he acted like I was asking for widget. Also, I did not see any of the few patrons in there with sushi on their tables. ''

``Good selection and service. Recommend sashimi with a side of rice as they tend to put too much rice with their sushi pieces.
``Overall very good and affordable.''
