``I visited Sssabune's Oahu branch store with great expectation, or at least equal service to the one in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, I was very much disappointed. The fish itself is not as fresh as they claimed since we all know by fact that fish in Oahu is always ``one day old.'' As far as I noticed, 90% of the sushi were marinated in ponzu-based sauce (in parts to cover the smell, I assume); it sort of lost the authentic taste of the fish itself. The taste of sushi depends on the freshness, cut, size, and of course, sometimes a bit of chef's special sauce. If 90% of the fish is covered by chef's sauce, they ended up pretty much taste the same; it is by definition very different from the ones I had in Japan. The owner/manager of the store was very arrogant. I witnessed her being very rude to other customers. By being arrogant, she not only lowered down the level of her store, but also made a very bad impression to other customers. If the owner tries to act like ``Sushi Nazi,'' I believe the food itself is not there yet. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone, especially the real Japanese.''
