  ``Recently had a very bad experience at this restaurant. We were literally rushed through our meal and pushed out the door before we even finished our sake, so they could accommodate more diners. When spending $100 on dinner for two, I would not expect to be treated this way. When we complained the wait staff was rude and the manager was not apologetic. With all the good sushi in DC, this is a restaurant to be avoided.

  ``I was actually underwhelmed when I ate here in December 2003. It was not bad, but for the DC area, it wasn't that great either. The gyoza were deep fried instead of seared and steamed, the filling was so-so, and the quantity of sauce was pretty skimpy. Tempura was kind of soggy. Sushi was okay, but nothing to write home about. Ditto service and ambiance.''

  ``Excellent fish. At times has the feel of a crowded traditional Japanese sushi bar. Cooked food includes traditionals like shabu shabu and sukiyaki. Selection and freshness excellent; usually have toro. Will take reservations. My favorite in D.C.''
