  Variety of sushi: Somewhat broader than average. Freshness of sushi: Fresh. Presentation of sushi: Somewhat nicer than average. Generosity of sushi portions: Average.

  Promptness of service: Notably attentive. Courtesy of service: Very courteous. Accuracy of service: Accurate. Cleanliness - dining and visible kitchen areas: Clean.

  ``Sushi for the hip. This restaurant has good ambiance although a little noisy. Our sushi chef was very friendly. They have a few unusual rolls that were neat. We had the Orange Crush with asparagus, cucumber, wasabi tobiko, fresh salmon and avocado. The fish itself was quite good, but fell short of truly excellent. Flavor began with melt-in-the-mouth but ended with a somewhat fishy note for the hamachi and toro. Wasabi was add-your-own except for the advertised spicy items. (Thursday visit.)''

  ``If sushi is all about the rice then there isn't much hope for Sushi on the Rock. Their rice is well below standard. They do have really cool t-shirts for sale though!''
