``Sanko is closed! Contrary to a previous review, my experience had always been nothing short of fantastic. The lady who owned it rents the space out to a trendy bar called `Trist.' The bartender told us several stories of Sanko-seekers who were heartbroken when they were told `she retired!' And some people just can't grasp that the restaurant didn't move someplace else, but that it is closed. In that particular strip of Clark Street there were three sushi restaurants within doors of each other. I think the only remaining one is Matsuya, and that too never fails me. As for my sushi-friends and myself, we miss Sanko, but wish `that little lady' a happy life!''

``Don't bother with this place. My friend and I were there more than a year ago and vowed never to go back. Then just recently I heard people on the L-train talking about the lousy sushi place they'd been to two months ago, and yup, you guessed it, they were talking about Chen's! When they first opened five-plus years ago, they were great; but as we continued to patronize them, the service deteriorated; then finally, their portions became smaller, and the drinks were smaller still...however, their prices continued to increase. Did I mention?...don't bother with this place.''

``This place has something called `Super White Tuna'. $4 for a standard size piece . . . and worth every one of the 400 hundred pennies! The Catapillar Roll and the Dragon Roll are incredible; the Crab Shumai, well, if Kamahachi was open for breakfast, I'd be having the Crab Shumai. Over the past six years I've been here four times and the place is always packed with all ages and all faces. What a gem!''
