About MarinePolis/Sushiland (Portland, Portland area, Oregon)
Last visited June 2002.

Variety of sushi: Limited selection.

``Not what I'd call `real sushi.' The sushi `chefs' are probably paid minimum wage and it's like a machine cranking things out. If you're not picky and you want a lot for your buck, this is the place for you. If you like quality over quantity, it's not for you.
``Most of the fish was precut and thawed; you could tell it was frozen and mass produced. ''
About Hiro Sushi (Portland, Portland area, Oregon)
Last visited August 2002.

Variety of sushi: Somewhat broader than average.
|
Promptness of service: Slow.

``Personally, I think this is some the best sushi in Portland. They have a big Japanese clientele as well and menus in both English and Japanese. Fresh fish, always good and the sushi master is from the `old school'. I love it.''
