``R-23 is very hard to find. Call before you go. Having said that, I highly recommend this place. It feels very underground and you will feel as though you've discovered a secret hideaway. R-23 is the rare place that manages to be extremely hip and extremely good at the same time. Reservations recommended if you get there much after opening.''

``Outstanding restaurant and something of a well-kept secret. There is no signage on the building. Although I've never been to the couple of notoriously expensive sushi restuarants that are often called `L.A.'s best,' I doubt they could improve much upon Sasabune. Make reservations!''

``This is not really a sushi bar, however the daily sashimi specials are always exceptional. Go to Taiko for a complete Japanese dining experience. They make their own noodles and their udon is unmatched. This restaurant is one of L.A.'s best of any kind.''
