Variety of sushi: Usual selection.

``This is my primary sushi restaurant. The best things about Sakura are the location and the hip, southside atmosphere. Of course, the sushi is good - about what you'd expect, but be aware that pieces come as singles, not pairs. I like that, though - for variety and price. The (young American) waitstaff is always very helpful and gives good recommendations. If you can swing it, check out the midnight sushi on, I think, Thursday and Friday nights (you should call to verify). They have great deals for midnight sushi, and the waitstaff picks the tunes!''

Variety of sushi: Somewhat broader than average.
|
Promptness of service: Prompt.

``I have only eaten at Shogun for lunch, but I've always been pleased with the service and quality of the food. The portons of non-sushi items are larger than usual, too - particularly the seaweed salad. The chefs are always friendly, but usually only speak a little English (to be expected, I suppose), so sometimes you can't get recommendations directly from the chef. All in all, a good restaurant, I think (and they also offer teppanyaki.)''
